The Ghost Scene

 After watching the different versions of Hamlet I can say my favorite one is the Kenneth Branagh version  because it was more easy to understand.In this version the actor Branagh seemed very shocked and scared to see his father and I think those feelings are  realistic upon any individual who see's a ghost despite the fact of it being your father.  In this version there was  music, and sound effects that kept me engaged in the movie and indicated that it was an important part. I also think the sound effects set off a spooky tone to this scene. In this version there is no lightening but are other effects such as the smoke coming out of the ground and the way the scene moves.Kenneth Branagh version of this scene is very dark which makes the scene more scary which is how I think it should be. The flashbacks in this scene gave the audience a understanding of what the father was telling Hamlet and what he thought was going on between his wife and brother while he was alive.
If I were to do this scene myself I would make this scene very dark and act like Kenneth Branaugh did. I would have King Hamlet act very frustrated and angry during this scene and then let him till Hamlet that he thinks Gertrude has been cheating on him with his brother while he was alive and use the flashbacks to help the audience understand his thoughts.

In the (Franco) Zeffirelli version the actor Mel Gibson portrayed Hamlet to be calm and less scared when he saw his father's ghost instead he seemed to be more desperate and had had more of n emotional connection with his father. The Mel Gibson version of Hamlet did not use alot of over the top sound effects instead he used very soft music which kept the audience in suspence. In this version the audience had to pay more attention to what was being said.
